aarrgghh, I've been watching this piece for days & after your post the price suddenly shot up. Very frustrating . . .

that piece would have gone way over $300 with or without my post. i haven't seen a vintage credenza go for less than $400 in at least a year.

I looked at the link half-expecting to see something like $800 or $1000. $300 is pretty reasonable for a clean, well-preserved vintage design. I think people should respect the art behind their furniture a bit more than getting bottom dollar.

you never know when you might find something like this at a tag sale... especially out in the 'burbs.
there's still almost a week left until the auction and people tend to bid at the end, so it may very well reach that amount. Others are going for that price, depending on quality. There are very few "steals" on ebay anymore - the internet has made everyone a bit more knowledgeable on what things are "worth"
what bothers me is not the price of the item (you should always buy something for what YOU think it's worth, but get a load of the shipping costs..yowza!
It's going to go for at least $1,500 so keep your pants on.
sigh, i have the table and chairs that it's displayed with in the photos. i would say it's an omen, but the coincidence didn't pad my bank accound. a gorgeous piece!

I bought something similar to this in upstate new york for $80. I also got an entertainment unit for an additional $50.
