marimekko

i'm so happy i found my carrie bradshaw curtains at marimekko and it looks like their winter collection now includes a similar pattern called kirgiisi designed by maija isola and kristina isola. kirgiisi comes in a very holiday friendly palette of rich red and green and a muted tan and white variety. any of the colors would look lovely as curtains, table linens, pillows or anything you can think of...click here for more info.

love it. weve been thinking about making curtains out of the pomegranate pattern. but i think it might be overkill once we upholster the couch in it.
marimekko also makes the cutest-moonboot-ish type boots right now.

I don't think they sell fabric, but I just bought a marimekko mousepad as a gift from a site called www.finnstyle.com. it was sold out everywhere else I looked, so I'm glad I found the site.

FWIW, CB2 has an olive/green variation of this pattern in their Marimekko bedding line; they're calling it 'Satula'.

finnstyle.com actually does have a great selection of marimekko fabrics, some are on sale now. I know west elm sold that pattern as bedding (white, green and brown) not sure about curtains though
