anthropologie

anthro

i was finishing some work for the inquirer this morning and loaded the anthropologie home page for some product info. swoon. the colors were too pretty to ignore. i'm finally getting my color sense back (i seem to have been unable to find a color that i love for almost an entire year) and have been clipping little bits of fashion magazines and websites for inspiration. that green wall behind the model is too, too cool. click here for a bigger view. [i wonder how time consuming it would be to paint my tiny bathroom in shades of green like that...]

I just ordered an ornament as a gift. I chose "gift" as an option at checkout and paid 4 bucks extra for gift wrap.

The gift wrap turned out to be polka-dotted tissue paper sealed with a red dot -- the kind you use on a bulk mailing -- and wasn't even wrapped on all 4 sides -- two sides were left open!

I opened the box to look at the ornament. THEY HAD LEFT THE PRICE TAG ON.

So while the ornament was nice, I recommend that people do not get gift wrap.

I was in Anthropologie last night and their clothes are so hit-or-miss... the items on all of the sales racks were the ugliest rags I've ever seen!

Loving your bathroom idea! It is so coral sea bed-esque, the muted greens remind me of snorkeling for shells...yup great idea for a small space--because it sends you.

Please show us when you are done how your bathroom turned out! I love the colors in this and was trying to figure out the best method of application - it looks almost like water color, and to think of it it could be with photoshop.
A note on gift wrap from Anthropologie - I received a gift that had no wrapping paper but a hand knit looking stretchy tie with pompom and other fabrics on top, made perfectly to fit the size box I got - I was quite impressed with the unique take! So maybe the gift wrap is hit or miss too!
